At Gaia's Colours, you will find a repertoire of colourways named after the many faces and names of the Goddess, and the sacred places that many have and still do honour Her in. Inspiration also comes by the multitudes of colours all around us that makes up our Mother Earth, Gaia. I also now have some colourways named after Gods (lest you thought I'd forgotten the men...).
The store has a blend of yarn weights. The colourways are a mix of variegated, semi-solid and solid colours. Colourways (already produced or custom) can be requested.
Gaia's Colours is a one-woman small business run by myself, Ursa Hawthorne, in the coastal city of Victoria, on lovely Vancouver Island, B.C, Canada. Here I play with yarn and fibre, and dye with great joy and a sense of adventure and fun. I am also a mother of two young sons and even find time to knit, weave and spin on occasion.
News & Notes: - The Autumn Equinox (Sept 21st) is now available for pre-order, until Thursday, September 16th. - Custom "dye-to-order" orders will available again in mid-September. - I am on vacation until early September. The store is still open for purchases. I am still available for answering questions or addressing concerns. - If you are making a time-sensitive purchase (like for a wedding, etc.), please let me know so that I can ensure you have the correct shipping in order to get the package to you on time.
